Microsoft confirms that any Internet Explorer version is insecure
Microsoft confirms that every Internet Explorer version is insecure because they have a vulnerability that could allow remote code execution (Wed 17th, 2008).
This security hole in Internet Explorer can allow crackers to stole passwords and control the system. By the meantime, Microsoft calls every Internet Explorer user to browse using protected mode.
This vulnerability on Internet Explorer can be highly exploited by crackers to gain access to login credentials used in banks or any other form login.
The such mentioned “protected mode” works only in Windows Vista. Windows user’s using previous versions (Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 2000) must configured their Internet Explorer to use “High Security” to browse.
Microsoft just published an Internet Explorer patch to fix this vulnerability on its browser.
The best solution to browse securely on Internet is to use Mozilla Firefox and to get rid of Internet Explorer.
